Once called New Garrison Graveyard, this cemetery includes an odd mixture of tombs and memorial stones: graves for soldiers fallen in the 19th century as well WWI and WWII (including a good many for unknown soldiers), and also more recent Muslim (mostly Turkish) tombs. The cemetery borders the Turkish cemetery, the oldest Islamic graveyard in Germany, dating back to 1863. Recently, a mosque has been built here, which now towers over both cemeteries.
